The joys of being unemployed!
(Update: due to some confusion I needed to state here that I'm NOT unemployed, neither thinking of becoming unemployed!)
All of us, for once at our lifetime, have been in an unemployment situation.
Although, after the initial shock, it sounds good having free time, it is really tough to suddenly have all the days available for whatever you want. If with savings you can still enjoy the first weeks, but most of us just try hard to find another job... after all, sooner or later we have to continue paying the bills and that's not easy to accomplish without an income.
Indeed, what usually happens is that we end up falling into a depression state, not finding an easy way out, and blaming all things possible for our own unhappiness. Myself, I must admit that I got really depressed the last time I was unemployed (more then 3 years ago)!
Unfortunately, one of my best friends is going through this phase at the moment... luckily, Marie-Chantale Turgeon, who is an artist, publishes the first ever blog I got in contact with and inspired me to write my own, has made a sketch of "The joys of being unemployed" (click for a bigger version).
If I had this when I was unemployed, I'd print and post it on a visible place I could see every day for inspiration.
And that's my advice if you are in such a situation... :-)
