CINEAC : the opening of a new club in town

I was invited for the grand opening of the CINEAC's "Play" party, last Friday the 8th!

CINEAC is a new club, just by Rembrandtplein, in front of movie teather Tuschinski.

It was crowded with beautiful people, and the decoration is a delight for the eyes. It promises a lot for this summer, probably you'll see me talking more about this club in the next months ;-)

Spiegelgracht concert

Last Saturday I was honoured to be present at the annual Spiegelgracht Concert, sponsored by Paulo's eBuddy and also Pasta e Basta. Besides the Navy band, there were several singers contributing to an afternoon of music by the canals of Amsterdam.

I can't tell enough about this: it was an extraordinary concert, completely packed with fun people, where most of our closest friends also joined in on the fun! The weather was helping to set a perfect afternoon of sun, there were constant food and drinks passing by, dozens of boats clogging the canals, and the vibe all around was simply incredible.

Afterwards, as if the concert was not enough, we had the after-party at eBuddy's headquarters, where they set tents on their beautiful back-garden, with BBQ and drinks never-ending, as well as DJ and dance-floor!

If only I could find words to describe how much fun I had... congrats to everyone involved in this, it was simply unforgettable!!

Marjolein's Birthday

Yesterday my sweet, loving, unforgettable, irresistible and completely adorable best-friend Marjolein made one more year on her growing path of an extraordinary life.

I simply love this woman, in such a unique way. She works and makes a living at what she loves (photography, design, etc.) and she is true to herself and to others, one of those persons that you know she means what she says and is not afraid to say it. One of those persons that shows her true face and is honest about it, a rare quality to find nowadays.

Marjolein, although our joint paths are still short, we've spent a lot of fun times, and I just hope to be by your side for many years to come. You are a friend I'll always love.

"I'd seen the light. It was this glaringly obvious blind realization, like pure truth! And it wasn't about anyone in particular, but about people in general. I realized (...) there is no such thing as THE one... It's more about mind-bogling whole hell of a lot of potential ones. Although that should be conforting, it's actually pretty terrifying. We'd all have to kick back and wait for some magical force to show us who we should spend the rest of our lifes with. But the truth is... there isn't a lightning-bolt that slaps you on the ass and tells you to pick this person over all others! If anything... it's like the rain. Rain falls all the time... sometimes you're prepared for it, sometimes you're not. Independent where you are when it hits, you either get caught in it or you don't. (In fact, most of us usually try like hell to avoid it.) You might miss the bus, you might catch the bus. Maybe you remembered your umbrella, maybe you didn't. No big science. Just random torrential bursts of opportunity. And that's the most fate can do. The rest... is up to us!"
