Easter weekend

It feels so great to have nothing planned and end up having the best time of your life!

My crazy cousin Bruno came to spend some days with his girlfriend Rute, and they stayed in our place. Its amazing how I never had to worry about their staying here, they found their own way and in fact enjoyed a great part of the center of Amsterdam by their own! (too bad I don't have photos, hope they send me some soon)

Because we had a long weekend here in Holland, we started going out since Thursday night. When meeting with long-time-no-see Sascha also got a call from Daphne who was having a drink nearby with another friend of hers. I can only say that it is a new experience to have a drink with 3 women, because they only talk about one thing, and one thing only: sex!!! Damn, learned so much in those 70 minutes! After that, we went to Zebra, to our Lucy Lee party, which was great and packed!

Friday I went out to Zebra again, with my cousin Bruno, his girlfriend, Marjolein and a friend of hers (who apparently thought I was a magnet and never let me go! Glad she has a boyfriend!). I also met with DJ Sean, and talking with him I realized he's a really cool guy. I can't say much about this evening, I danced a lot, drank a bit, and had again a blast!

Saturday I finally had the courage to end something which was making me suffer for a month already, and now I'm glad I did it. Of course at that moment I felt really down, sad and depressed (some tears fell into the laundry-store where it all happened, glad I was alone there). So I told all my friends that that night I wanted to go wild, just dance without a care in the world, just not think about anything and enjoy as most as possible (normally that means I'll get really drunk). Little did I know I was going to meet someone special that night who would shake me up inside again. I don't want to say too much about it yet, besides "wow!wow!wow!"... ;-)

Sunday the weather was a-m-a-z-i-n-g and I woke up early somehow, feeling great and happy for this nice easter, again without knowing it was just going to get better! I tasted my first-ever bagel, went to the Vondelpark and lied down on the grass by the lake. All this in the warm company of a beautiful, sweet and unforgettable woman who doesn't want to leave my head until today. We then met with Marjolein and Marianne, enjoying the afternoon and the sun, laughing so hard that I sometimes rolled on the ground (these girls are crazy!). Later we all had a nice dinner at Ebeling where again I tasted the irresistible Thai beef salad (a must!).

Monday, as I still had a day-off, I spent it day-dreaming about that woman, just to be lucky enough to meet her again in the evening to watch the new Mr. Bean movie. And again I met with Marjolein, Marianne and Casper, the crazy-crowd :-)

Yeah, normally I don't make such long posts, but this time I just had to let you all know how great I feel about 2007's Easter. Without plans, and enjoying the best Easter ever, made me realize that all you need in life is confidence that things will be better, and spread positive energy because it will come back to you in double!

Hope you all enjoyed a nice Easter!

About me

"I'd seen the light. It was this glaringly obvious blind realization, like pure truth! And it wasn't about anyone in particular, but about people in general. I realized (...) there is no such thing as THE one... It's more about mind-bogling whole hell of a lot of potential ones. Although that should be conforting, it's actually pretty terrifying. We'd all have to kick back and wait for some magical force to show us who we should spend the rest of our lifes with. But the truth is... there isn't a lightning-bolt that slaps you on the ass and tells you to pick this person over all others! If anything... it's like the rain. Rain falls all the time... sometimes you're prepared for it, sometimes you're not. Independent where you are when it hits, you either get caught in it or you don't. (In fact, most of us usually try like hell to avoid it.) You might miss the bus, you might catch the bus. Maybe you remembered your umbrella, maybe you didn't. No big science. Just random torrential bursts of opportunity. And that's the most fate can do. The rest... is up to us!"
