The weekend and its surprises!

Even though I had no plans, at least my pals are always looking out for me. Rodrigo set up a gathering at a friend's place, where we danced and drinked a lot, just before going to Club NL.

On Sundays, Club NL has the "I Love Sundays" party which I've never been at before because... well, IT IS on Sundays and that's not a good idea for someone who wants to start a productive working week, right? Nevertheless, today is a public holiday, so yesterday I had no worries whatsoever :-)

I was surprised by our group. Suddenly we were not a small group but a really large one, and we rocked the place up! Also there were some of my Russian (girl)friends, including Mascha, my favourite Russian professional dancer. Besides cool and friendly, these girls are really gourgeous, we always had a lot of sharks in the club trying to get closer (but with no luck) ;-)

Music was top! Our groups danced the night away! The environment was really relaxed! Amazing event, Rodrigo! There's a reason why we call you The King! ;-)

Blijburg!

What a nice surprise!

Claudia, my best (girl)friend, had an amazing idea to fill our Saturday afternoon. We went to Blijbuug, a really nice beach they've built just near Amsterdam.

The weather was warm and the sky was clear. The sangria was really not the best, but was good enough to refresh us. The people there are all relaxed and easy-going, much better then the average Dutch. And being with my best friends Paulo and Claudia, together with my father, was the perfect way to spend this afternoon!

Will never be able to thank you enough Claudia! You are a star in my life! Love u!

But... que pasa?

Last night, after my father went to bed since he was tired, without any plans suddenly I found myself getting out of the apartment at midnight to meet with Paulo, Bernardo, Gledison and Carla (with a couple of friends).

Even though no exact time was arranged, we all arrived exactly at the same moment at Melkweg, which was cool!

After that... well, I think the photos can describe themselves what happened... madness! Crazyness! And a lot, loads, of fun! Going out with the guys is always fun-garanteed. To include Carla in it, its the perfect recipe! Carla is amazing, I really like her a lot, if anyone thinks I'm a party-lover, they should spend 5 minutes with Carla... I'm nothing compared to this woman, she rocks!

The evening was so much fun that I even became friends with the bartenders (the girls, of course)... it is always nice to spend an evening where all you experience is sharing positive energy and getting it back to you in double... a smile and a good mood can make wonders, believe me!

My father is in Amsterdam!

Only for a couple of weeks, my father came for a visit to his son! And he brought a lot of nice surprises from Portugal and Cape Verde, which I'll delight myself with in the next days.

I just hope he doesn't think I'm crazy after he finds out the mad life I'm enjoying here in Amsterdam. ;-)

Live: soup@amsterdam

Nice! Nice! Nice!

"The core" is, at this moment, having the best soup you can have in Amsterdam! These guys rule!

We are busy planning the next crimes... beware all you treasures out there!

(kidding of course, you don't have to worry about me, as I'm taken... only need to worry about the rest of them) ;-)

Morning, to work

This morning I had to take a different route to work, as I needed to pick up by the hospital a perscription for the meds I need to take before my operation.

It is always nice to break the routine, and you should all try it from time to time. It helps on making you think differently or taking new approaches. For me, when I break the routine, it just so magically happens that I find answers or solutions which I haven't thought of before.

Today was not the case, though. Today I just met, coincidently, with Rodrigo at the Metro 51 to work, which was also a good way to start the day!

For the ones who don't know, Rodrigo is the king of the core, and I'm just a quiet disciple ;-)

Actually, I need to announce that the core is going to get a sun tan by the black sea, in August! So cool!

About me

"I'd seen the light. It was this glaringly obvious blind realization, like pure truth! And it wasn't about anyone in particular, but about people in general. I realized (...) there is no such thing as THE one... It's more about mind-bogling whole hell of a lot of potential ones. Although that should be conforting, it's actually pretty terrifying. We'd all have to kick back and wait for some magical force to show us who we should spend the rest of our lifes with. But the truth is... there isn't a lightning-bolt that slaps you on the ass and tells you to pick this person over all others! If anything... it's like the rain. Rain falls all the time... sometimes you're prepared for it, sometimes you're not. Independent where you are when it hits, you either get caught in it or you don't. (In fact, most of us usually try like hell to avoid it.) You might miss the bus, you might catch the bus. Maybe you remembered your umbrella, maybe you didn't. No big science. Just random torrential bursts of opportunity. And that's the most fate can do. The rest... is up to us!"
