Is your name on the List ?

It is finally here! My party is now setup. We closed the list yesterday, with more then 250 registered party-animals. I'm looking forward to this event, as it will have only friends of mine, or friends of friends which is also good!

There are even more friends interested in coming, but its not possible anymore (I warned everyone to send the request as soon as possible, so...).

The guys from Barefoot Events have done an amazing job, creating, setting up and preparing this event. And the best part: they now consider me part of their crew, which is a pleasure indeed!

Can't wait for Saturday! Party should be awsom, and after-party is actually set to be in Paulo's and mine new place! ;-)

My Dear Suzy's Adventure

My sweet Suzy is now about to board into the airplane, to her adventure in Brazil. Although a lot of people always ask me about it, I actually support this trip, even though she'll be going alone (actually some of her friends here will meet with her later there), I know this is something she needs to do so she has my complete support.

Of course I wished she waited a bit longer, but its not her fault that my party was delayed one week (it was initially planned for this last Saturday the 25th but Club NL requested if we could postpone it)...

But make no mistake: I will miss her terribly. These last 3 months with her have been amazing, she is the sweetest person and a true woman. I cannot, and won't, stop thinking about her.

For you, Suzy, the "eternal" words of Eric Carmen, which everyone should remember from the Dirty Dancing movie, words that go through my heart everytime I think of you:

I’ve been meaning to tell you
I’ve got this feelin’ that won’t subside
I look at you and I fantasize
You are mine tonight...

Now I’ve got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes,
One look at you and I can’t disguise
I’ve got hungry eyes,
I feel the magic between you and I.

I want to hold you so hear me out
I want to show you what love’s all about
Darlin’ tonight
Now I’ve got you in my sights

With these hungry eyes
One look at you and I can’t disguise
I’ve got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you
And I’ve got hungry eyes
Now I’ve got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
Now did I take you by surprise

I need you to see
This love was meant to be

Suzy's farewell part 2

When I arranged this night, almost a month ago, I could not expect so much. The party was new, unique, amazing DJs line up... so everything looked good for a proper crazy farewell event... Well, the truth turned out to be even better then expectations!

Besides stylish and always in motion, this "D-Licious" party was unforgetable! Everytime and anywhere we went in Zebra, there was always something different happening. Either amazing dancers, or sexy garcons(nettes), or even more sexy dancers, there was always something to feast your eyes on (and your desire for other intimate things, eheheh).

I heard a rumour that this event was organized by Barry (the manager of Zebra). If true, I have to hand my hat to him: this one totally rocked, Barry!!! When we arrived at Zebra, we could see already something amazing coming up, because people were lining up (and rushing over the bouncers) to be inside. When we got in, it didn't take long for them to open the second floor, as the club was getting crowded.

Me with Dj Don Diablo !

After the whole group was setup upstairs (with our table and bottle ready) I had to come down and meet one of my favourite DJs: Dj Don Diablo! His music is awsom, and his popularity is over-the-top. I had a chat with him and found out he is also a cool guy who appreciates the support from fans! It was an honour, and pleasure, to meet him!

After dancing a while to his tunes, I came back upstairs to our group, since it was Suzy's farewell! Everyone was already dancing like crazy, which was evident from the amount of already empty glasses at the table. Everyone was having a blast, and I loved it!

There was an incredible amount of different dancers coming up, all dressed really sexy, including the garcons(nettes) who were offering chocolates and sweets around the club!

And our group... was unbelievable! Crazy, crazy, crazy! Everyone danced the night away! Later in the evening, we had an extra bottle of champagne, to cheer with Suzy. I'm really happy how this party turned out to be: exactly what I wanted, to celebrate Suzy's trip we had an event to never forget...

Suzy's farewell part 1

What a crazy night!

Tonight was Suzy's farewell get-together, with all her friends, at "Cafe Cuba" (a nice meeting point bar at the Nieuwmarkt).

Initially I felt a bit shy (something which nowadays is not common with me) since I actually didn't know almost any of them. But I noticed Suzy was having a blast, and pretty soon I had the nice company of Kirsten and Marielle, who talked a lot with me throughout the night.

Also, my friends came at a certain point (Paulo, Rodrigo and Bernardo) but later they left for the Que Pasa party. We were to join them later, but no one felt like it, specially because we are going to party again tonight anyway, so in the end I just went home with Suzy.

It was really nice to meet her friends, specially in this night where everyone came to wish her all the best in this upcoming 3-month Brazilian adventure.

Tonight we will go to Zebra, where they'll have the "D-Licious" party. I think what they say in the flyer says it all:

"Girls, you're not demanding, you just like to get spoiled. Feel and taste the D-Liciouness of chocolates, attention, goodies and gorgeous men all in one night."

Because its theme seems to have been thought specially for women, tonight is my special present to Suzy. We have a table reserved, for her and her girlfriends. I really hope they enjoy it!

Of course, I also invited some friends of mine... after all, I cannot be the only guy for so many girls!

But what I'm really looking forward to is specially the high-class DJs line-up: Chocomel, Royallistic, Jean and Don Diablo !!!!

I can only say: Wow!!!!!!

(this time I'm not forgetting my camera, as it happened always recently, so expect a lot of digital memories of this event).

Sara Tavares in Amsterdam!

Tonight I'm going to see Sara Tavares playing live in Amsterdam!

Sara used to be unkown in Portugal a few years ago, until she won 1st place in a popular music artists impersonation TV show (she perfectly singed Whitney Houston).

Since then she has been exploring several fields of music, but always maintaining her portuguese and african roots (her family is originally from Cape Verde).

Her last album is another fresh and outstanding melodic mix of african, portuguese and brazilian rythms. Her voice, as ever, continues to be stunning and impressive.

I am lucky to be invited to her show (thanks to my contacts at World Connection). I'm really looking forward to this. Check back tomorrow for some comments and photos.

Feeling good!

View from my building, this morning

Today is a bright shining day here in Amsterdam.

Its funny how much more enjoyable this city is when with Sun. When I stepped out of the apartment this morning I immediately smiled and felt refreshed!

So much lately has happened (or is about to):

- My loved Suzy is about to leave for 3 months, on her unique adventure in Brazil. Be sure to check her blog. Although I will miss her terribly, I really wish her an amazing trip!

- Me and Paulo have found an apartment. It is an amazing place near Leidseplein, with too floors. Below its the kitchen, living room and dining room (enough space to chill, that's for sure!). Upstairs are two bedrooms, a toilet and shower (with both a shower and a bathtub which is a privilege to have in Amsterdam!). Paulo is already moving there end of next week, and I'll move until the end of April (although I'm sure I will stay there already some nights).

- My party is getting close! (see flyer on the right-hand side). We already have 150 people signed, so it is promising a lot! Can't wait... and already feel nervous ;-)
(UPDATE: I now know that we have at this moment a total of 170 people, with more to come! Nice!)

- My birthday party is also coming up! It will happen together with Zoom's 1st anniversary (Zoom is a monthly event in Zebra, which I've been at since its first edition). The guys from Barefoot Events even included in the flyer my birthday bash announcement! So cool!

Well, enough for now. But there's more coming up (I just won't write about it yet). Although I'm a bit ill (cold weather is really harsh here), I'm still smiling and enjoying every minute of my days. No matter what happens, we all should just remember to always feel good!

Positive energy keeps bad energies away, and attracts even more positive energy! This is a fact! Whether you believe in it or not! ;-)

80's Party @ Arena !

What a night! This party was really crowded, but I cannot complain! There were so many people there, I danced with so many....! Gee! Arena is becoming really an amazing place to have fun!

No words here necessary to describe the party... just check the photos here, there were just too many known people around for me to write about. It was a-m-a-z-i-n-g !!

Now I'm going to have some drinks at "Me Gusta" with Paulo and Knowledge, and later meet with my sweet Suzy: tonight I'm not going out. It is the last chance me and her have to spend some time together, just the two of us, before she travels to Brazil for 3 months, so I'm going to spoil her ;-)

Dear Suzy

When I'm feeling blue,
All I have to do
Is take a look at you,
Then I'm not so blue.
When you're close to me,
I can feel your heart beat
I can hear you breathing in my ear.

Wouldn't you agree,
Baby you and me,
We've got a groovy
Kind of love.

Any time you want to,
You can turn me on to
Anything you want to,
Any time at all.
When I kiss your lips,
Ooh I start to shiver
Can't control the quivering inside.

Wouldn't you agree,
Baby you and me,
We've got a groovy
Kind of love

Don't stop believing, never stop dreaming...

We are all heroes inside, as long as we remember we are also weak.

Others might think we're crazy, but we are all allowed to dream.

Its never easy...
but some of us, can actually feel good and smile.

Because we smile at dreams come true.

This says it all:

I can't stand to fly
I'm not that naive
I'm just out to find
The better part of me

I'm more than a bird...I'm more than a plane
More than some pretty face beside a train
It's not easy to be me

Wish that I could cry
Fall upon my knees
Find a way to lie
About a home I'll never see

It may sound absurd...but don't be naive
Even heroes have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed...but won't you concede
Even heroes have the right to dream
It's not easy to be me

Up, up and away...away from me
It's all right...you can all sleep sound tonight
I'm not crazy...or anything...

I can't stand to fly
I'm not that naive
Men weren't meant to ride
With clouds between their knees

I'm only a man in a silly red sheet
Digging for kryptonite on this one way street
Only a man in a funny red sheet
Looking for special things inside of me
Inside of me
Inside me
(...)

I'm only a man
In a funny red sheet
I'm only a man
Looking for a dream

(...)

And it's not easy...
Its not easy to be me...

Damn you, Rodrigo!

Rodrigo is going today to Barcelona.

The only time I was there was a weekend, last November, with him, and I fell in love with the city! The buildings, the people, the food, the smells, the parties, the lights... all felt just perfect!

But Rodrigo, the bastard, dared to tell me he is going today, and that Barcelona will miss me this weekend... ai ai!

I have to go there this year... I really want to! In the meantime: have a nice one Rodrigo! ;-)

D.D. (Dare Devils)

Fun fun fun... and this is just the beginning...

It was really fun to go out yesterday!

I met with Paulo and Bernardo at Tapas Cafe Me Gusta, where I tasted again their wonderful Irish Coffee (which they make almost the same way as my mother did, simply delicious!). Paulo and Bernardo were already far ahead with the alcohol quest, and the guys at the restaurant only helped even more! Puff!

Afterwards we went to meet with Marjolein, who gave me a beautiful poster of my upcoming party! Unexpectedly, Paulo and Bernardo actually joined us instead of going to Paradiso, so we all went to Vuong, a trendy bar in Leidseplein. We got friendly with the bartender and the manager there, discussing about how to make a proper Caipirinha, and the manager, who knew how to make them properly, told me he started there only two weeks ago so he promised soon they will do it the proper way.

We then headed-off to Zebra, for my traditional Thursday's Lucy-Lee-gets-me-crazy!! It was fun to hang out again with Paulo and Bernardo, we haven't done it for a while! Also nice was to have Marjolein with us, she is really cool!

As the evening ended, I came back home but got irritated by the constant rain which got me totally wet! Well... should be used to it: after all, I'm in Amsterdam right?

Tonight I'm spending some time with my Suzy, as I really really (really really!) miss her. She has been busy the whole week, getting ready to go to Brazil (she is going there for three whole months, something which does not please me much but also I want her to have the best time there).

I'll try to update more often, if possible with "Live" feeds. This is going to be a busy and fun wekend!

Have a blast, everyone!

Live: at Tapas "Me gusta"

Tonight I'm meeting with Paulo (back from Brazil) and Bernardo (with his arm recovered) and they are getting drunk! In some minutes I'm running away from them and their alcoholic crazyness, to meet with Marjolein and then have fun at Lucy Lee!

Dear weekend, welcome! ;-)

Live: at the 51 metro

Hey guys! I just had a fantastic weekend, with a lot of fun going out, but this time no extreme drinking! I actually feel awsom today!

I'm now going to the doctor (I'm blogging using my mobile phone) and hope to still be in a good mood afterwards...

Anyway only tomorrow I'll upload the photos of this weekend's madness and the tradicional report, so remember to check back later!

Wishing you all an amazing week,

Vitor

Hey

Bernardo is here!

Last drunk evening! FOR SURE!

I broke my promise. I'm failing on myself.

Yesterday I had some more killer shots and could not control myself. Although it was nowhere near what happened last Friday, I still drinked more then what I should have. I really have to get a grip on this, and I will!

Anyway, I had a lot of fun yesterday at Lucy Lee. Although not really crowded, the music was really nice (specially with DJ Mea Culpa).

It was also a lot of fun to hang out with Marjolein (well, for a while, because afterwards I lost track of her) and to meet some new (and crazy) people.

A nice surprise was also Ana and Ara who showed up later at the evening!

Now its Friday, and I need to spend some time with my Suzy, as I really miss her too much! We are going for some drinks in town, and don't know how the evening will end up... but the most important thing is I'll be with my sweet girl who I really like more and more each day.

Planning

We are busy preparing the weekend ;-)

Week... end!

During this week I've been lazy regarding my blog, but I'll try not to let that happen again.

The fact is that, after another amazing weekend, Monday I had a fitness class of stretching exercises, and Tuesday I had Yoga. I felt so great!!! This will definitely be good for me, both classes gave me a lot of energy, and I'll have them every week! Cool!

And talking about cool... it has snowed in Amsterdam this week, almost every day! I really love it, but it feels sometimes like skying when the ground where you step is just ice.

But, regarding the last weekend, what I didn't mention is that Friday night was a night to forget. I got really enthusiastic with the shot drinks and became so drunk that I don't remember most of what happened. Luckily for me, I have an amazing woman with me who, besides really patient, she also forgave my behaviour. But I'm sure not to let this repeat again. I ended up losing the photos of that evening (not on purpose but I believe somethings happen for a reason!), but the parts I remember I can say it was fun to be with Suzy, her cousins and friends. If only I had controled myself, the ending would be different... nevermind, I've called everyone and apologized for my behaviour, and another night of fun at Que Pasa with them will come again! :-)

Saturday I spent it with my queen Suzy, walking around the center of Amsterdam and chilling at my place. At night she went to a birthday party in Utrecht, and I went out with some friends and colleagues to a new party called "Soigné", at Zebra.

It was really amazing to hear Miss Chianty singing together with the DJ tracks! And I had the pleasure of having Robert Feelgood at my table, and sharing some hot-killer FlatLiners with him... sorry, Robert! Next time I'll go easier ok? But it was really cool!

Sunday I just enjoyed it alone at home, relaxing and getting ready for the week, which I knew already would be busy.

And at the time I'm writing this, in a couple of hours the fun will start! Ouch! Just bring it on! :-D

About me

"I'd seen the light. It was this glaringly obvious blind realization, like pure truth! And it wasn't about anyone in particular, but about people in general. I realized (...) there is no such thing as THE one... It's more about mind-bogling whole hell of a lot of potential ones. Although that should be conforting, it's actually pretty terrifying. We'd all have to kick back and wait for some magical force to show us who we should spend the rest of our lifes with. But the truth is... there isn't a lightning-bolt that slaps you on the ass and tells you to pick this person over all others! If anything... it's like the rain. Rain falls all the time... sometimes you're prepared for it, sometimes you're not. Independent where you are when it hits, you either get caught in it or you don't. (In fact, most of us usually try like hell to avoid it.) You might miss the bus, you might catch the bus. Maybe you remembered your umbrella, maybe you didn't. No big science. Just random torrential bursts of opportunity. And that's the most fate can do. The rest... is up to us!"
