31st Birthday: 2nd Party

My birthday celebration, apparently, hasn't stopped! Sunday afternoon I was still recovering from the unforgetable birthday party at Zebra, when Paulo told me to get dressed since we were meeting with some portuguese friends.

Joao, Carla, Paulo and Claudia

We went to Leidseplein, and met with Joao (he is an airline pilot) and Claudia (an airline hostess). They were in Amsterdam only this afternoon and evening, so they wanted to have some fun. It was then that the first surprise happened: Joao was waiting for yet another friend who lives in Amsterdam, Carla, who coincidently me and Paulo know pretty well and already enjoyed some amazing parties together with!

(left to right) Claudia and Carla

Carla is this beautiful and crazy portuguese girl who lives in Amsterdam for 10 years already, and we've met her through Claudia, my best (girl) friend. I actually like to be with Carla, it is always a lot of fun when we are together (she is way crazyer then I am), and I just wish we could see her more often!

We went for some drinks at Rembrandtplein, sitting outside by the sun, and I took the opportunity to call Claudia to come and meet us (also with Pedro, her boyfriend). Since it was getting cold, we went afterwards to Cocos, a nice bar with couches, also located at Rembrandtplein.

From then on things got really crazy! I stopped counting the ammount of beers and chilled-Vodka shots when the alcohol was going up our heads! We had SO MANY that at a certain point even the owner came to cheer with us.

We got mad and started taking pictures of everything, and I suddenly got obsessed with Tattoos! I took shots of tattoos from our friends, waitresses and even some customers (all women of course) ;-)

After getting really drunk, and as the night was getting late and late, everyone went home except me and Claudia (also drunk). We went to a birthday party of one of her friends, where at least I had the opportunity to eat somethings and get my stomach and blood free of so much alcohol!

We didn't stay there for long though. MC Knowledge was waiting for us at the Supper Club, which was actually nearby, so we met with him and danced a few minutes there (while drinking a bit more...). It was fun, but we also didn't stay for long there. The three of us went to Jimmy Woo, as Knowledge was going to sing there.

At Jimmy Woo I just danced and danced and danced... didn't care about anyone else except Knowledge and Claudia, even though (as Claudia told me later) we were surrounded by women eager to dance with us! I met a couple of them though ;-)

So, in the end, there I was, without planning, entering my actual birthday, dancing at Jimmy Woo with my best friend Claudia and Knowledge, completely happy again and cheerful! What another amazing evening!

About me

"I'd seen the light. It was this glaringly obvious blind realization, like pure truth! And it wasn't about anyone in particular, but about people in general. I realized (...) there is no such thing as THE one... It's more about mind-bogling whole hell of a lot of potential ones. Although that should be conforting, it's actually pretty terrifying. We'd all have to kick back and wait for some magical force to show us who we should spend the rest of our lifes with. But the truth is... there isn't a lightning-bolt that slaps you on the ass and tells you to pick this person over all others! If anything... it's like the rain. Rain falls all the time... sometimes you're prepared for it, sometimes you're not. Independent where you are when it hits, you either get caught in it or you don't. (In fact, most of us usually try like hell to avoid it.) You might miss the bus, you might catch the bus. Maybe you remembered your umbrella, maybe you didn't. No big science. Just random torrential bursts of opportunity. And that's the most fate can do. The rest... is up to us!"
